Christoph Steinbach – AT

Christoph Steinbach is an Austrian boogie-woogie and blues pianist, born on December 24, 1977 in Kitzbühel. Already at the age of two to three years, he began playing drums daily on a set of plates and pots put together, until he finally got a children's drum. At the age of five, he discovered his grandmother's piano and got his first private piano lessons at the age of almost six. At the age of seven, he heard boogie-woogie music for the first time and began to improvise and practice.

Steinbach was very talented as a child and also learned double bass, button accordion and drums. At the age of eleven, he filled the breaks of his Dixieland band's performances with boogie-woogie pieces, which eventually led to paid gigs and the founding of his first boogie duo. He practiced for up to eight hours a day and eventually decided to become a full-time boogie pianist.

Steinbach studied percussion/drums at the music conservatory in Innsbruck, but dropped out after just under two years to focus on his numerous ideas and projects. Since then, he has played dozens of successful concerts and realized various new concert and project ideas.

In his career as a boogie pianist, Steinbach has already released several albums and performed at numerous festivals and concerts all over the world. He is known for his virtuoso playing style and his ability to captivate the audience. Steinbach is also active as a composer and arranger, regularly writing new pieces for his performances.

Overall, Christoph Steinbach has an impressive career as a boogie pianist and musician and is considered one of the best boogie-woogie pianists of his generation.
